The CEWW Health Insurance Consortium and Empire Blue Cross
announce the hiring of a local representative for our plans.
February 18, 2020
Rosemary Souza-Botten is an experienced and well-respected insurance professional who is well equipped to address the needs of our members.
After a 30-year successful career, Rosemary made the decision to retire from the insurance consulting industry in March of 2019. Integrity, honesty, passion, curiosity, and dedication were the forces that drove Rosemary and earned her numerous professional certifications and accolades. Her next life chapter is to continue to serve and help others through her newest appointment with Empire Blue Cross. She is excited to begin this new journey of service and education on February 17, 2020.
Helping others and improving the communities in which we live has always been her passion. Whether it was coaching youth sports, serving 14 years on the CCRS school board, or playing the role of the quintessential soccer mom, her involvement in the community spans multiple decades. She is a 30+ year member of the Plattsburgh Rotary Club, the treasurer for the CCRS Education Foundation, on the Executive Team of Stepping Out for Your Heart and found her true passion in her work for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. Camp Ta-Kum-Ta provides challenging, extraordinary experiences in a safe and loving environment for children who have or have had cancer and their families.
Rosemary graduated from Chazy Central Rural School and the State University of NY at Potsdam. In addition to her community involvement, Rosemary enjoys photography, cooking, her family camp on Chazy Lake and spending time with family.
Rosemary can be reached via email at:
[email protected] or by phone at (518) 419-3161, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
She is the first line of contact for questions regarding benefits, claims or other issues with your health insurance plan. If a face-to-face meeting is necessary, she will be able to arrange this at a nearby school district or at Champlain Valley Educational Services. She will also be available to visit schools or retiree groups for educational sessions and general health insurance discussions.
